Your writing is yours

You keep every right to everything you write here. No ownership, licence or claim over your screenplays is taken by Plotiva or by the person who runs this copy of Plotiva. Your work is not read, mined, or used to train anything.

Export is always available, in .fountain for editing elsewhere and PDF for sending, so your work is never trapped here.

Keep your own copies

This is the term most worth reading. Plotiva is offered free and with no guarantee that it will keep working, stay online, or still hold your scripts tomorrow. Software fails, services close, and browsers discard local data without asking.

Export anything you care about. Treat the copy you keep yourself as the real one.

Using it

Write what you like, within the law. Do not use Plotiva to break the law, to infringe anyone’s rights, or to attack the service or the people using it. You are responsible for what you write and for keeping your Google account secure, since anyone with it can reach your scripts.

Accounts

An account is optional and adds only backup and sync. It can be declined entirely: writing privately needs no account at all. Access may be withdrawn if an account is used to harm the service or another person.

No warranty

Plotiva is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. It is not promised to be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and no advice given here forms a warranty.

Limits of responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, the person who runs this copy of Plotiva is not liable for lost writing, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using Plotiva, which is the plain reason the section about keeping your own copies is there.

Changes

These terms may change as the app does. The date at the top says when the current wording took effect, and continuing to use Plotiva after a change means the new terms apply.
